Prison & bleak centre of Moor

Princetown village, Prison, Highly visible TV mast at Princetown. Lots of inaccessible areas.

AVOID:

Military Area when firing, Rocky areas, Going further North into moor. Bridlepath through Dunghill very boggy

TAKE CARE:

Busy main roads, Bridlepath at 608 739 south of Roundhill farm can be boggy. Bridlepath running W to E. on top of map has several treacherous boggy patches that come upon you and can be right in middle of path. At Broad Hole on River Cowslick 592 787 there is a bog just N of crossing,get off and lead horse if necessary at 607 781 crossing West Dartfollow wall down the hill on west side ,crossing is closeto wall ROUTES: P:

Princetown -easy down old railway track east B –Beardown Tor (north of) is not easy.

Points of Interest:

Princetown with Plume of Feathers pub has paddock and camping Barn, other Pubs & shops

Two Bridges Hotel.

Wistmans Wood (though not accessible by horse

Access/ Parking:

Easy Road Access from many directions. Parking at Princetown either in Town car park or ask and pay at Plume of Feathers Inn. Small area of Parking at Two Bridges (can be full in season)

No general directions as very mixed ground
